Chardonnay Wine Label Design + Identity // Mignanelli

Graphic Design & Innovation, Wine Identity & Design
Mignanelli Chardonnay Nelson Family Vineyard Santa Cruz Mountains 2014

I chose to design all the wine labels for Mignanelli Winery with the dominant use of the Mignanelli logo to create an instantly recognizable brand within the confines of the 4 x 3.25 label space. The use of Gotham fonts compliments the hand-rendered, calligraphy logo creating a combines traditional and modern look which would appeal to a wide range of buyers. A chartreuse green signifies that this is a chardonnay (white) wine.

Model Validation.

I have been designing a series of branded business documents for Black Swan Consulting to visually illustrate their consulting services.  To visually define large quantities of content, I have created a modified info graphic that visually draws the reader in for further discovery.

Social Media Strategies Summit  >> Sponsor Sales Guide

I designed a branded sponsor guide for the sales team at GSMI to sell their Social Media Strategies Summit event.  Designed as a fully interactive PDF for seamless communications between sales team member and their prospect.

Social Media Strategies Summit LAS VEGAS!

This is a really fun event to design for. I’ve created several title designs based upon the iconic “Welcome to Las Vegas” sign. This one here was streamlined down to just the outline laid over a blue burst background.

See the full event branding here: SMSS Las Vegas 2015

Below is the sponsor passport, used during the event by attendees to visit sponsors booths and to be entered to win a prize.

Pop-up banner signage at the entrance to welcome attendees and to thank the sponsors for their support.

Male Iguana: How Naughty? [Venn Diagram Example]

Graphic Design & Innovation
Male Iguana: How Naughty?

Here’s an example of a Venn Diagram showing the three main aspects of a male iguana behavior: Being vegetarian, being “in season”, and the frequent head bobbing. Each specific behaviour is represented by each large, colored circle. The overlapping sections create more distinct behaviours and where all 3 intersect is why the male iguana is well, so naughty.  The smaller, outer circles indicate the interactive behaviors with the human female (“handler”, “mommy”, “human”) and their behavioural result.

More on the Naughty Male Iguana can be seen HERE.

Black Swan Consulting // Basel III Securitization Framework Support

Basel III Securitization Framework Support > Sell Sheet

Create a 2 page, sell sheet document using the Black Swan branded red color with bold typography (News Gothic).

TOP & SECOND IMAGE > Views of the front page.

THIRD IMAGE > View of the back page.

BOTTOM IMAGE > How many info graphics were designed before a final solution was chosen?
There were several ideas and layouts. The final rendering was to point all aspects of the “formula” to the solution. Instead of showing the formula constructed from the top down or the bottom up, it was re-designed so it would all flow into the solution.

Case Study: Unipak’s Package Re-Design for Asher’s Chocolates

Unipak Case Study: Package Re-design for Asher’s Chocolates

Designed a 1 page brief showing the success of the package re-design. Highlight the new packaging in the larger circle and only focus on the package. Edit the supplied photos to remove the confection. Focus on the client, Unipak, by positioning their logo and statement at the top of the page along with their contact information.

BOTTOM IMAGE // Determining the Design: The Process

I received a word document, several before and after images of the packaging and confection with backgrounds, and vector logos of both representative companies. Museo Sans, Museo Slab and Brush Script fonts were used. Color palette was determined by both company logos – a mix of warm chocolate brown, orange and light gray. The call-outs that display the before and after packaging images is the same shape used in the Asher’s logo.
