I developed the identity for Cannavest, a symposium for investors and cannabis companies where their products, services & investment funds are showcased. I initially did not have much to go upon but I needed to only use the approved identity color palette. Cannavest is an event is held along side the Cannabis Business Summit™ and Expo.

Initial ligature sketches were made from using Proxima Nova fonts and connecting the CV letters. The interior was filled with the image of the cola bud with an overlay of orange and green.

 

With the simple, yet effective, ligature logo, a dramatic shadow and strong typography created the sponsorship sales guide.

For the second annual Cannabis Business Summit™ & Expo I kept the design simple, open, modern and consistent across all supporting design materials.

The concept of the pre-conference brochure was to use negative space in relation to the title of the event. Images and call-outs were secondary.

The circle design and type lockup translated to the expo floor design.

Fall Regional Cannabis Business Summit in New York City // NCIA

I created the pre-conference brochure, onsite brochure, signage and sponsor passport for the Fall Regional Cannabis Business Summit™ in New York City.  To stay within the tight conference budget, I repurposed digital photos of the National Cannabis Business Summit™ & Expo in Denver by overlaying the NCIA’s brand colors of orange and light green on top of the photos. This was implemented to eliminate the direct focus on the actual photos and to create an instantly recognizable identity through the brand color palette.
