Late Summer 2020 – A Typographical Presentation
The latest works from the LMI+D creative studio are presented here through animation and static imagery.
A new logo for BrandStrat Conference using bold colors choices in black and cyan along with a more modern font updated the previous look from a few years past. The client, GSMI, was pleased with the result and the look of the logo reversed while it occupies the website.
The “Direct Connect” logo was created for a member benefit for members of the NCIA – The National Cannabis Industry Association. You can see the logo in place here: DIRECT CONNECT.
Finally, Marchesi, which was launched earlier this year, was a design based upon modern luxury using gold foil throughout the application of the logo on labeling.

I developed this simple illustration several years ago to brand and identify a New York City cannabis conference. Regretfully, it was not utilized by the conference organizer in a prominent manner across the marketing platform.

The original illustration and concept was used for the Cannabis Business Summit Fall Regional NYC 2015. The illustration was used in the brochure on the speaker page and sponsor passport and was colored a dark green.
Cannavest // The Cannabis Investment Symposium for Institutional Investors & Family Offices
Ligature logo + Sponsorship sales guide
I developed the identity for Cannavest, a symposium for investors and cannabis companies where their products, services & investment funds are showcased. I initially did not have much to go upon but I needed to only use the approved identity color palette. Cannavest is an event is held along side the Cannabis Business Summit™ and Expo.
Initial ligature sketches were made from using Proxima Nova fonts and connecting the CV letters. The interior was filled with the image of the cola bud with an overlay of orange and green.
With the simple, yet effective, ligature logo, a dramatic shadow and strong typography created the sponsorship sales guide.

Information Sheet + Custom Info Graphic
Create a 1 page information sheet for the “QCC” Event Series. Illustrate the 8 regions by using a simple map info graphic with map markers. Create a call-out section along the bottom to draw attention to the highlights of attending these events. For email attachment, PDF download, and off-set printing.
Cannabis Business Summit™ Expo 2015
For the second annual Cannabis Business Summit™ & Expo I kept the design simple, open, modern and consistent across all supporting design materials.
The concept of the pre-conference brochure was to use negative space in relation to the title of the event. Images and call-outs were secondary.
The circle design and type lockup translated to the expo floor design.
