LMI+D creative studio designed a badge-style logo for the Social Media Strategies Summit First Responders conference. LMI+D has been branding the @smssummit events for over a decade by first starting with the social media icon globe.  The challenge for this new brand for the #SMSSummit was to incorporate the social media icon globe into what would take the form of a universal badge.

I developed a circular badge style logo to share that same familiar presence as the presidential seal.

Shown against both dark  and light backgrounds.

LMI+D Branded Stories

A new logo for BrandStrat Conference using bold colors choices in black and cyan along with a more modern font updated the previous look from a few years past. The client, GSMI, was pleased with the result and the look of the logo reversed while it occupies the website.

The “Direct Connect” logo was created for a member benefit for members of the NCIA – The National Cannabis Industry Association.  You can see the logo in place here:  DIRECT CONNECT.

Finally, Marchesi, which was launched earlier this year, was a design based upon modern luxury using gold foil throughout the application of the logo on labeling.

The TMF Conference is about success in managing operations and compliance around clinical trials. Creating the identity for this cutting-edge event started with creating a soft red palette and contrasting that with a dark, rich royal blue.

I developed this simple illustration several years ago to brand and identify a New York City cannabis conference. Regretfully, it was not utilized by the conference organizer in a prominent manner across the marketing platform.

The original illustration and concept was used for the Cannabis Business Summit Fall Regional NYC 2015.  The illustration was used in the brochure  on the speaker page and sponsor passport and was colored a dark green.

Ligature logo + Sponsorship sales guide

I developed the identity for Cannavest, a symposium for investors and cannabis companies where their products, services & investment funds are showcased. I initially did not have much to go upon but I needed to only use the approved identity color palette. Cannavest is an event is held along side the Cannabis Business Summit™ and Expo.

Initial ligature sketches were made from using Proxima Nova fonts and connecting the CV letters. The interior was filled with the image of the cola bud with an overlay of orange and green.

 

With the simple, yet effective, ligature logo, a dramatic shadow and strong typography created the sponsorship sales guide.

Blockchain Health // Concept Illustration + Conference Identity Development

What’s in your DNA?  Base pairs, of course!

Just when I never thought I’d use my undergraduate minor in biology, that rudimentary knowledge of DNA and base pairs is being used in this illustration below.

The idea of Blockchain Health (#BlockchainHealth) is security within the health care industry. This illustration below initially had numbers in the chains and not the base pairs of “ATCG” (Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine & Guanine). I contacted the illustrator and asked if the illustration could be altered and this is the result of the collaborative effort. The base pairs are now in the chain! It is perfect.
