The digital illustration that started it all. Chrysler Building + Cola Bud = Chrysler Bud
I developed this simple illustration several years ago to brand and identify a New York City cannabis conference. Regretfully, it was not utilized by the conference organizer in a prominent manner across the marketing platform.
New business card design. LMI+D’s cannabis branded business card.
Front of the business card incorporating the illustration with the established logo.

LMI+D’s cannabis branded business elements.
The original illustration and concept was used for the Cannabis Business Summit Fall Regional NYC 2015. The illustration was used in the brochure on the speaker page and sponsor passport and was colored a dark green.
Cannavest // The Cannabis Investment Symposium for Institutional Investors & Family Offices
Ligature logo + Sponsorship sales guide
I developed the identity for Cannavest, a symposium for investors and cannabis companies where their products, services & investment funds are showcased. I initially did not have much to go upon but I needed to only use the approved identity color palette. Cannavest is an event is held along side the Cannabis Business Summit™ and Expo.
Initial ligature sketches were made from using Proxima Nova fonts and connecting the CV letters. The interior was filled with the image of the cola bud with an overlay of orange and green.
With the simple, yet effective, ligature logo, a dramatic shadow and strong typography created the sponsorship sales guide.

What’s in your DNA? Base pairs, of course!
Just when I never thought I’d use my undergraduate minor in biology, that rudimentary knowledge of DNA and base pairs is being used in this illustration below.
The idea of Blockchain Health (#BlockchainHealth) is security within the health care industry. This illustration below initially had numbers in the chains and not the base pairs of “ATCG” (Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine & Guanine). I contacted the illustrator and asked if the illustration could be altered and this is the result of the collaborative effort. The base pairs are now in the chain! It is perfect.

I was tasked to create a 24×36 sign to display at the upcoming Social Media Strategies Summit Chicago (#SMSsummit) to alert attendees that they can “Win a Google Home”. The attendees had to take a photo with a new friend and post to their social media, such as Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
I wanted a propaganda style poster and ultimately came up with this design above showing two hands (you + your new friend) eagerly grasping their mobile devices and ready to take on the task. I created a vector illustration of the Google Home device and added it into the design.
FONTS: Museo Slab 900, Lobster 1.4, Museo Sans 700 & 500.
The client came back with several revisions, including replacing the image and moving the content up more and to make it bigger. The revisions created this below colorful sign. What’s your take on this? Please leave comments below.
I designed a Facebook cover image for the NCIA’s (National Cannabis Industry Association) Facebook page by incorporating their tagline of “Advocacy, Education, and Community” and reversing it out in bold blocks of color from their established branding colors of yellow, orange and light green. I had established this block design style of their tagline in 2016 for their annual Cannabis Business Summit™ and Expo. #CannaBizSummit
Design an events page image for the “QCC” (Quarterly Cannabis Caucus).
Information Sheet + Custom Info Graphic
Create a 1 page information sheet for the “QCC” Event Series. Illustrate the 8 regions by using a simple map info graphic with map markers. Create a call-out section along the bottom to draw attention to the highlights of attending these events. For email attachment, PDF download, and off-set printing.
Mignanelli Pinot Noir Nelson Family Vineyard • Santa Cruz Mountains 2015
Here’s the creative direction and graphic design for the pinot noir wine labels which follow the same design principles for the chardonnay
that was previously created.
All wines have a corresponding wine technical sheet that describes the promise of the wine along with retail price and specifications. The section of “points” is placed high and in a prominent section of the design to bring attention to the excellent reviews from the reputable sources of Wine & Spirits Magazine

SMSS // Social Media Strategies Summit Las Vegas 2015
Looks like someone really appreciated the graphic design for the on-site booklet that was distributed at the 2015 Social Media Strategies Summit in Las Vegas. This piece was US letter sized, 4/4, 60 pages and spiral bound.
Here are a few examples of the signage that was created for this event including sponsor signage for TrackMaven.

Mignanelli Chardonnay Nelson Family Vineyard Santa Cruz Mountains 2014
I chose to design all the wine labels for Mignanelli Winery with the dominant use of the Mignanelli logo to create an instantly recognizable brand within the confines of the 4 x 3.25 label space. The use of Gotham fonts compliments the hand-rendered, calligraphy logo creating a combines traditional and modern look which would appeal to a wide range of buyers. A chartreuse green signifies that this is a chardonnay (white) wine.
I have been designing a series of branded business documents for Black Swan Consulting to visually illustrate their consulting services. To visually define large quantities of content, I have created a modified info graphic that visually draws the reader in for further discovery.
